Mexican mining industry reopens

The Mexican mining industry was officially considered an essential industry and many mines are reopening on June 1. The Business Year spoke to Carlos Pavón Campos, Director General of the Sindicato Nacional Minero Metalúrgico (FRENTE), who stated that the safety standards that were already being upheld by the mining industry prior to the pandemic have prepared the sector for the health protocols that are required today.
