Mexico headed to the polls on July 1, unceremoniously kicking the ruling PRI out of power through a surge of grassroots support for leftist Obrador. But the country attracted USD29.7 billion in FDI in 2017, up 11% on 2016, and it has maintained its position as 49th out of 190 countries in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business report.
