Fahad Bin Sulaiman Al Tekhaifi

What are some of the demands going forward, and what will the international community seek for in terms of statistics?

The international community is focused on investments for business. When investors come here to Saudi, they want data that will help them study the markets. This is the area where we have to focus, because what we produce goes to statistical institutions like the GDP and pricing. When it comes to customer segmentation, we have government entities, the private sector, and international organizations.

What are your expectations for 2017?

For 2017, we are working hard to produce statistics to cover Vision 2030 as well as the sustainable SDGs. Some government entities have been asking us to prepare some statistics to develop their policies, especially the Ministry of Housing. The Ministry of Health has also approached us with a request to develop a survey regarding health, housing, and education. These areas are the most important issues in development, and we will conduct three different surveys just to help the decision makers. We have Vision 2030, the 240 for SDGs, and surveys for some specific sectors to help them create policy.
