TBY partners with Indonesian Ministry of Energy
TBY has inked an MoU with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia to cooperate on the publication of the first edition of The Business Year: Indonesia 2018.
The MoU was signed by Dadan Kusdiana, the Head of Communication at the Ministry, and Maria Cherniakova, TBY Country Manager for Indonesia.
“TBY is a renowned research firm and we entrust it with our contacts and information to support its research,” commented Kusdiana on the partnership. Cherniakova, meanwhile, added, “The partnership with the Ministry of Energy is of pivotal importance for our research in this sector, and we always value to be working directly with the policymakers.”
The MoU comes after a key interview with the Minister of Energy, Ignasius Jonan, who spoke extensively to TBY about the strategy to drive private investments into the sector. “The goal for the next 10 years is for electricity to be the engine of growth. We will focus on availability, tariffs, and capacity. Those three elements of electricity will be supported and adjusted from time to time according to the demand,” said Jonan.
The Business Year: Indonesia 2018 will focus extensively on all the new projects for the generation of electricity in the country. In terms of renewable energy, geothermal holds the greatest potential, especially given the physicality of archipelago, consisting of volcanically shaped islands.
TBY is the leading research firm and publisher of annual economic resources on national economies. The Business Year: Indonesia 2018 will be published in the second quarter of 2018 and will feature 150 interviews with top executives in the public and private domains.
