TBY signs partnership with AMCHAM Quito

Ecuador, July 11, 2014—The Business Year (TBY), a leading international provider of annual investor-focused economic research, has signed a research partnership agreement with the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Quito) for TBY’s upcoming publication The Business Year: Ecuador 2014. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in Quito by Mr. Cristian Espinosa, Executive Director of AMCHAM Quito, and Ms. Yamila Ortiz, Country Manager of TBY.

According to Espinosa, “AMCHAM is proud to have secured a close partnership with The Business Year. AMCHAM members and executives see in this partnership an open and transparent window that will allow a close look on the business opportunities and challenges in Ecuador.”

Ms. Ortiz expressed a similar sentiment, saying that “The Business Year is thrilled to be working in partnership with AMCHAM Quito for our upcoming edition The Business Year: Ecuador 2014. AMCHAM Quito plays an important role in developing business relations between Ecuador and the United States and in advocating for free trade and the rule of law. AMCHAM’s members represent some of the most prestigious companies across every sector of the Ecuadorean economy. This partnership will enhance the abilities of both our organizations to further promote Ecuador as a place to do business and to provide an open and honest perspective on the opportunities and challenges of Ecuador as a destination for international investors.”

According to the agreement, AMCHAM Quito will be designated as the official research partner of TBY for production of The Business Year: Ecuador 2014. AMCHAM Quito will in turn provide research support to TBY as it compiles its content for the upcoming publication, which will be released in 3Q2014.

To conduct its research for The Business Year: Ecuador 2014, TBY interviews more than 200 ministers, heads of state, and leading executives from Ecuador’s main institutions and companies. The Business Year: Ecuador 2014 will be read by more than 87,000 top executives and policy makers around the world with a targeted interest in the Ecuadorean economy.
