TBY signs MoU with the German Business Council Kuwait

TBY has inked an MoU with the German Business Council Kuwait (GBCK), a non-profit organization which cultivates relations between German and Kuwaiti companies, to cooperate on The Business Year: Kuwait 2017. The MoU was penned in Salmiya by Laila Bastati, Chief Operating Officer of TBY, and Hannelore Graf, Chairperson of the GBCK.

In the agreement, the GBCK will assist TBY in highlighting business opportunities for German companies by featuring interviews with a range of corporate members of the GBCK. At the same time, TBY and the GBCK are also looking to organize a roundtable discussion on investment opportunities in Kuwait towards the end of the year.

Commenting on the signing of the MoU, Hannelore Graf, Chairperson of the GBCK, said: “It is a pleasure and great opportunity for us to partner with your distinguished magazine as an exclusive Business Council in Kuwait representing our business community this year and we are looking forwards to a fruitful and active co-operation.”

Laila Bastati, TBY’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “There has been an increasing interest from German companies to do business in Kuwait. In light of this, the GBCK provides an outstanding platform for German-speaking business leaders to connect with Kuwaiti firms. TBY is proud to have partnered up with the Council to facilitate the production of our upcoming second edition on Kuwait.”

TBY currently conducts interviews with more than 150 business and political leaders to outline key trends in all the sectors of the Kuwaiti economy, including infrastructure and construction, retail and real estate, finance, energy, ICT, agriculture, transport, industry, health and education, and tourism. While the publication is primarily comprised of interviews, The Business Year: Kuwait 2017 will additionally feature focus articles, highlighting specific developments, major projects, and challenges in each sector.
