TBY signs MoU with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Manama, 9 January 2020—Representatives from TBY, a global media group that has been providing investors, businesses, and governments with first-hand insights into the world’s most dynamic markets, and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) have signed an MoU to establish a strategic partnership and further research for The Business Year: Bahrain 2021, TBY’s first publication on the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The MoU was signed in Manama between Shakir Ebrahim Al Shater, CEO of the BCCI, and Yohana Bolivar Rojas, TBY Country Manager for Bahrain. The Business Year: Bahrain 2021 is part of TBY’s plans to further expand its regional coverage and produce a high volume of market intelligence on key sectors of the Bahraini economy.

Regarding the partnership, Shakir Ebrahim Al Shater said, “BCCI is honored to collaborate with TBY for its first publication on Bahrain, sharing the goal of promoting and attracting investment into the country.” He added that “The Business Year: Bahrain 2021 will explore all aspects of the Bahraini economy, especially the infrastructure sector and the government’s liberal economic policies, which have transformed Bahrain into an ideal hub from which one can easily access the entire Gulf market. Bahrain’s highly developed financial sector leads its dynamic and resilient economy by supporting the growth of other non-oil industries, including heavy industry, retail, education, and tourism.”

Talking at the signing ceremony, Yohana Bolivar Rojas underscored that, “through investments in education and women’s participation in the workforce, two of the main pillars of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, the government aims to improve quality of life and attract more international businesses.”

The MoU was signed after taking into consideration TBY’s experience as a global media group that has been providing investors, businesses, and governments with first-hand insights into the world’s most dynamic markets and sectors and the BCCI’s position as the representative entity of all industries. The partnership was formed in the light of the mutually shared objective of highlighting business opportunities in Bahrain.

TBY’s first-hand research reaches key international investors and members of the global business community, targeting international financial institutions, international corporations, investors, accountancy firms, industrial conglomerates, and governmental organizations. The Business Year: Bahrain 2021 will be distributed extensively, both domestically and globally, and will reach an even larger audience via TBY’s powerful network of digital platforms. All interviews and content will be also available on the key business information platforms: Bloomberg Terminal, Thomson Reuters Eikon, Dow Jones Factiva, and FactSet.
