In terms of manufacturing, production capabilities, sales, and exports, how was 2017?

We can currently manufacture up to 60 prefabricated houses, 50 tons of pre-engineered steel buildings, and 4,000sqm of insulated panels per day when working at full capacity. Our other range of our products include turnkey camps, warehousing, cranes, cold storage, shelters, containers, solar panels, and fire escape stairs, among others. We are currently at 60% of our production capacity. In 2017, we exported 65% of our current production, a 5% increase on 2016. The first quarter of 2018 has been slow, but we expect business to pick up throughout the year. What is special about DSI is that we fabricate everything; we are a one-stop shop with a 150,000sqm factory.

Which of your products has the greatest local and international demand?

We have always had the highest demand for pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB), which are widely used in retail malls, shopping centers, supermarkets, airport hangars, and warehousing. Another main seller is our prefabricated houses used for camps, army barracks, offices, schools, and housing. Most of our international presence is in Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, Ivory Coast, and Angola.
