TBY talks to Abdullah al Askari, Managing Director, C Club, on the sector.

Abdullah al Askari

How does C Club fit into the health sector in Kuwait?

C Club does not fit in—it stands out. C Club was established in 2005 with the concept of not only being a fitness facility, but also a social club where people can interact, meet, do business, and so on. There is a fitness and a social side, which is a concept that is rare in Kuwait. When I came on board, I worked on enhancing our services. We hired a group of qualified and certified instructors and trainers to assist clients and help them achieve their goals. Our members truly appreciate that side of the service. They used to spend two hours socializing and just half an hour in the gym on the top floor. Now, clients know they need to lead healthier lifestyles.

Could you tell us about the new physiotherapy and rehabilitation center?

We are currently developing the first fully dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation center in Kuwait, aimed at providing a top medical service for high local and regional demand. This will be a state-of-the-art facility fully equipped with the latest machinery and equipment, including a fully functional hydrotherapy component. We aim to provide niche, top-of-the-line services including goal-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation plans.
