TBY talks to Madina Umbetova , General Manager, International SOS, on the subject.

Madina Umbetova

What are the highlights of 2017 for International SOS?

2017 was an exciting year for International SOS Kazakhstan. First, our operation here is ISO 2015 certified; we have a strong team in Kazakhstan that provides high-quality medical care and applies international standards across our 24/7 clinics and remote medical sites. We not only retained our core business in the country, but also grew strongly in West Kazakhstan and successfully supported several major international Expo 2017 providers. Lastly, in 2017 we went through a rebranding process in Kazakhstan. Our old International SOS logo was replaced with a new one, reflecting our 'worldwide reach, human touch.'

How do your operations in Kazakhstan differ from other parts of the world?

International SOS has a presence in over 90 countries with over 11,000 employees, 26 assistance centers, and 10,000 corporate clients worldwide. Our business in Kazakhstan is our oldest operation in the CIS and our strongest. In Kazakhstan, we will expand where our clients need us. What will be new are the approaches and tools we will take with us. Our upcoming projects will enhance customer experience, namely digitalization and the implementation of telemedicine elements, to name a few.
