What have been the latest accomplishments for the company?

After 52 years in the energy sector, we are proud to have expanded to the green energy segment. We decided to do that to tackle a growing market and contribute to climate change. Coming from the oil and gas sector, we felt it was something important. After eight years, we have made substantial progress in distributed renewable generation, which means producing energy and managing it at the consumer level.

How has your international experience translated into the operations in Panama?

We gained experience from exporting our engineering and project management services across the world, in Latin America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. We are now concentrated on being a regional player based out of Panama. That includes the northern part of Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Southeast US. Our objective is not only to provide services to clients in the renewable energy sector, but also become an asset manager and investor of distributed energy resources.

What strategies and initiatives do you have regarding corporate social responsibility?

In our corporate history, we have always given priority to the education sector. We are, after all, a service company. However, recently we have been active in pro bono projects for off-grid communities needing electricity as a way to improve their lives.
