We have a two-level approach to the market by serving a commercial client base, while also catering for the needs of the community. We operate a strong public service base in the northern part of the country and, through our partnership with the Ministry of Interior we operate at a Federal level with a network that spreads across the country. On the commercial side, we have a client base that includes; YasMarina Circuit, Etihad Airlines, Abu Dhabi Airport, and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Moving forward we are looking to expand our commercial partnerships, Zayed Sports City, where we will provide emergency medical service to at least 100 events this year, and World Sports to support the ITU World Triathlon event in Abu Dhabi. We also started offering patient transfer services in Abu Dhabi and in the five northern Emirates and are looking to expand the operation of a non-emergency air ambulance service in cooperation with our partner, Abu Dhabi Aviation. Furthermore, we will continue to look for opportunities with hospitals since we add value to them by being cost-effective and have the most modern and up-to-date ambulance fleet in the country.

An inherent part of our service is to offer the highest quality care possible. It is for that reason we have partnered with the National Addiction Centre in London to help in initiating and developing different services and point out the areas of opportunity. We have signed a partnership with McLean Hospital to further develop our programs. McLean is one of the world’s leading psychiatric institutions, and together, we have developed our detoxification and outpatient programs as well as some programs for our female unit. We are in the process of developing a special program for adolescents that normally get assessed in six months by the McLean team. Furthermore, we are actually using the latest medication in the market for opiates detox (suboxone) and are the first country in the Middle East to use this type of medication. The medication is crucial during the first week of a detox when the patient faces a 90% decrease in the dosage to accelerate the healing process. This is a revolutionary medicine that is transforming the outpatient process for those battling addictions. We have a new state-of-the-art facility that has been designed to handle the latest developments in the field of mental health and addiction.

AHS has maintained its goal of being the gateway for healthcare services in Abu Dhabi. Since our inception, our target has been to enhance access to care and offer quality curative and preventive care for patients, as well as sub-specialty services in our healthcare centers. One of our recent accomplishments has been reaching our target to enhance the availability of appointments to our patients within a frame of a week for general and specialty medical services and four weeks for dental specialties, as clinically indicated. We also have a walk-in system and accept everyone because we are a frontline healthcare provider. In 2016, SEHA started an initiative called “Your appointment is tomorrow,“ which provides appointments the following day, serving to reach our healthcare provision targets. As part of enhancing AHS’ service offering. We introduced dedicated specialty healthcare centers such as Oud Al Touba and Al Zafaranah Diagnostic and Screening Centers and Al Towayya and Al Mushrif Children’s Specialty Centers. In addition, AHS expanded its core services across its healthcare centers to include dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics, in addition to family medicine. Furthermore, two centers of excellence for dermatology were established in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and subspecialties services, such as orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, psychiatry, urology, and others, were introduced in the large centers across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
