TBY talks to Arya DAMAR, President Director, LintaSarta on sector.

How have you grown in recent years?

LintaSarta was established in 1998 to support the financial industry. We started with the application business for the banking reporting system, mainly to report bank activity to the central bank. We also provide the money market with a movement monitoring system. We subsequently got involved in the telecommunications business, though we only serve companies and are not involved in retail telecommunications. We offer B2B services and since 2009 our main revenue stream has come from data communications. We serve all industries, including banking, oil and gas, plantations, and manufacturing, and have over 3,000 companies that are our clients. We have been providing end-to-end data center and cloud services since 2011 and saw 21% growth in revenue in 2017.

How has your cloud and end-to-end solutions business grown relative to your core business?

Though only 50% of our business, the growth of the data center and cloud represents more than 80% of our overall growth because it started from zero. Our goal is to be a solutions company, and our data center and cloud services are, therefore, the beginning. After creating the infrastructure, we then have to provide the solutions.
