Bank Respublika

Bank Respublika, following the announcement of improved ratings by international analysts, has grown from strength to strength.

Assessing Bank Respublika’s prospects, Moody’s analysts noted that the forecast was based on factors such as stable positive financial indicators, a high level of profitability, asset quality, and capitalization. Each individual customer is important to Bank Respublika, and the retail business is one of the most dynamic segments of our banking services. With around 300,000 customers, we offer a universal line of banking services with a complete set of tools for savings, wealth accumulation, and cash management to ensure an increasing customer base going forward. The bank aims to establish comprehensive and long-term relationships with customers. As a result of the modernization of the product line, in 2013 Bank Respublika optimized its proposals where the products and services in demand are offered at the most favorable terms. The bank systematically improves its automated banking transaction offering, also employing the latest delivery media such as Online Banking and MobilBank. Remote service channels enable customers to conduct banking transactions without visiting brick-and-mortar branches. Furthermore, Bank Respublika was the first in the country to provide uninterrupted services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to individual customers as part of the project Ofis24.

In early 2014, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan designated Bank Respublika as a leading online banking institution. In mid-2013, Bank Respublika had obtained a license to Trade Acquiring and Acquiring in e-commerce from the Visa International payment system, which will help it expand the card product market, as well as increase the number of POS terminals. The license provides the bank with an opportunity to sign contracts with commercial units for the installation and maintenance of POS terminals, without resorting to the services of intermediaries. It will also allow the bank to establish “virtual” terminals to pay for goods and services online.

Since its establishment, Bank Respublika has placed a special emphasis on SMEs. Taking into account prevailing market conditions, the bank has significantly streamlined credit processing, as well as the issuing of bank loans according to its own programs and within the state program for financial support of SMEs. Bank Respublika cooperates with foreign and international financial institutions in various activities. Since 2004, we have been an active partner of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Meanwhile, a clear indicator of the bank’s success is its dynamic growth in financial metrics. On January 1, 2014, aggregate capital exceeded AZN63.4 million ($80 million), while total assets reached AZN481.5 million ($610 million).

During 22 years of activity, Bank Respublika has won the trust of citizens by participating not only in the development of the national economy, but also by supporting many cultural, social, and charity events. Also for the second time, World Savings Day was held in Azerbaijan with the support of the bank.
